Catherine Demo out now
Curious about what Catherine is all about already? well the demo is out and gives the beginning of the game and 2 levels to feel the gameplay. It's definitely a weird game. You get the gist of it but the nightmares? and all the stuff happening in his head? still no clue.
The gameplay is puzzle based, with you moving blocks for you to climb in order to reach the top. During my playthrough in the demo, i had fun with the 2 levels given. I'm still kinda iffy if it's still worth a buy, it's really interesting and bizzare. But is that enough? I guess the price point when it hits the Philippines will be the deciding factor for me.
Catherine will be out on July 26, 2011 in the US for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Anybody still interested??
Is Sony Quietly Removing a PS3 Feature?
What's the deal Sony? Why remove support for Component cables?
From [Kotaku]
Brian Crecente— A tipster sends us rumored word (and image) of an incoming replacement model for the 160GB Playstation 3 which brings with it a change in the way some people will hook the console up to their HD television.
The new "K" chassis, which Sony will begin shipping to retailers this week, will require customers to use an HDMI cable to play a game or watch a movie in high definition, according to the tipster. The component out, which on all other models supports high definition video modes, will no longer do so, according to a memo apparently sent around at GameStop today.
All future models of the PS3, the memo continues, will require an HDMI cable for high definition output. Previous models will not be updated to require HDMI for high definition viewing.
Finally, as GameStop puts it, offering the HDMI cables to customers picking up a PS3 will "also help you drive add-on sales."
We've reached out to Playstation for comment on the rumor and to ask why, if it's true, the change is being made. It sounds like it could be tied to digital rights management. Stay tuned.
This may not matter to most of you but for us who are trying to broadcast our gaming shenanigans on our live channel, Component cables are the easier way to go as most capture cards/devices don't support HDMI. And why remove it in the first place? I see no logical reason as to why Sony would pull such an ass move. Bad Sony, bad!
Batman Arkham City: Riddler Trailer
Riddle me this, riddle me that, who is afraid of the big black bat?
A new trailer for Batman Arkham City shows off the green wearing, riddle happy villain from Batman's rogues galley. The Riddler seems a bit more sadistic in this one, seems like someone has been marathoning all seven Saw movies lately. The trailer comes off more as a survival horror game, a different approach compared to all the other trailers we've seen of Arkham City.

EA fights dirty
"This is not the 3 you are looking for."
In this day and age, the phrase "the early bird catches the worm" can never be more true. The same applies to web domains.

Well played EA, well played.
Mortal Kombat - Rain Trailer
Purple Rain, some stay dry while others feel the pain Purple Rain!
The purple ninja is back and his moves have some moisture to them, now he truly lives up to the name "Rain". I actually thought that he'd only have water moves so I started out a bit disappointed when watching the video until they showed his signature lightning move.
They showed 2 clips from both of his fatalities and one of them has a sort of a Spongebob reference to it. Rain will be available on July 19th for Xbox Live and PSN.
