Dragon Quest X revealed for Wii and Wii U
Square Enix revealed this for the Wii years ago but never came to light. Now their revealing it again but this time with an online focus. It will be out for the Wii and Wii U next year and will be called Dragon Quest X Online.
Yes, the latest installment which makes the Dragon Quest series reach double digits will be in a form of an MMO. It is still not certain what type of MMO it will be. Will it be the traditional MMORPGs? or just a small group similar to Monster Hunter Online(only released in Japan). Regardless of how this game will be, Andriasang mentions that the Dragon Quest X Online website contains a TBA on "usage fee". Still not officially confirmed but knowing how this goes, it will have the traditional monthly fees aside from the initial purchase of the game.
Dragon Quest X Online will have Wii and Wii U compatibility so players can play with each other no matter what version they decide to pick up. Of course, Wii U will have an advantage since it will have improved graphics. 3DS compatibility was also mentioned but not confirmed at the moment.
In regards to gameplay, the only info out is that players may craft weapons and own their own property. They will also include a feature that makes players use their friend's character as an NPC when their offline. That's it so far.
Level-5 developed the last 2 games but so far only Square Enix was mentioned in this project.
The game is set for a 2012 release and since its also developed for the Wii U, a release date of Dragon Quest X Online should be around the time of the Wii U release. That's a long way from now. So fans of the series don't hold you breath waiting for this one. They also mentioned a beta before release.
Trailer is now up on YouTube together with a lengthy presentation of the game. You can't understand a single thing, but you get to see the game in action.

Dead Island reviews are up - Some good, some bad..
Dead Island gets released this week and it's only right that reviews start showing up on the net. Some praise it, some are frustrated by it in a technical level but so far it's currently more on the positive side. Not perfect scores, but not horribly low ones either. Here's a list of review scores so far..
IGN - 8.0
Eurogamer - 6/10
Gameinformer - 8.5
Destructioid - 7/10
Gametrailers - 8.5/10
Ausgamers - 8.1/10
Joystiq - 3/5
From what I've been reading, the game has been getting praise on what it's meant to give, some good co-op zombie slaying fun. Add skill trees, level ups, 30+ hours of game time, and a choice for a new game+ after? man I can see myself already getting lost in this game with a couple of friends. The biggest issues most of the reviews mentions are quest bugs, glitches, voice acting, and a story that I too will ignore when I start playing. I expect the story to be in the same level as Borderlands, horrible.
Reading these reviews just sealed the deal if I wanted to buy the game on day one. Interested in the game? nice! but to get the full effect of Dead Island, I suggest you find a friend or three. Dead Island is out tom Sept 6 on NA, and will be out for the rest of the world on Sept 9 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

TMG Podcast Episode 04: "The Revamp show"
And we're at it again, but with changes. The TMG Podcast is a show about the TMG crew having a good conversation about anything related to video games. Be it a new game release, a huge announcement, or just us banter about something completely stupid, or something hilarious about gaming.
In this episode, Quash, Kage, and Tim discuss - News of Dragon Age 3, the evolution of Dragon Age, Bioware as a whole, Mass Effect 3, Diablo 3, Dead Island, Torchlight 2, Age of Conan, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Star Wars: The Old Republic, a bit of World of Warcraft talk, and even answer a good question " If you could buy only one game, would you pick Guild Wars 2 or Diablo 3??".
SPOILER ALERT! We mention endings of Dragon Age: Origins and Knights of the Old Republic(KOTOR). If you haven't finished Dragon Age: Orgins and want to avoid any spoilers, please skip 3:20 to 4:00 to avoid the talk about the ending of Origins. For people who haven't played KOTOR, skip 55:10 to 55:20 to avoid the ending of KOTOR.
Why did we have spoilers? well we're having a free discussion with a recorder in the middle, Thus us swearing a lot. The spoiler just came out i guess when we we're talking. We apologize for having spoilers, next episode we will make sure we avoid spilling out spoilers. Swearing? well, we'll just tone it down a bit. Maybe bleep it out? we'll see, but for now we're keeping episode 4 raw.

Borderlands 2 gameplay leaked to YouTube
I'm pretty excited for Borderlands 2 and thanks to this leaked video showing some gameplay footage of the game, we now have a clear picture on how this sequel is shaping up. It's 14 minutes of gameplay showing a lot of new things like new weapons, characters, and even a new menu interface that looks badass.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENyvxX_Eots
The video shows the player playing as Salvador the Gunzerker, the new version of the Berserker class back in the first game. While Brick tosses his guns and uses his fists to wreak havoc, Salvador instead picks up another gun and just starts shooting like a crazy man. Any gun can be dual wielded with Salvador's skill. They even show the new type of guns, like what they call the Wal-Mart-inspired rifle that instead of reloading, you toss the gun and it explodes and a similar gun materialize out of nowhere all loaded up.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Multiplayer World Premiere
The first Call of Duty expo, Call of Duty XP starts now, and to kick off this 2-day event, they reveal the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer trailer.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kuOCCeXlszw
It's pretty much showing the new perks, equipment, killstreaks added in Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer says their focus is all about balancing the multiplayer. So you won't see perks like One Man Army, Commando, and Last Stand(Yes!). Killstreaks have also been changed. You can still earn killstreak rewards by stacking the kills, but now you can earn killstreak rewards with killstreak points. These points are earned by capturing flags, doing objectives, etc. so team players will be able to earn something even though their not owning that many people.
Killstreaks are now placed in what they call Strike Packages. There's three packages to choose from - Assault, Support, and Specialist. Assault and support have a different set of killstreaks to suit your play style, but the one package that looks very interesting is the Specialist Package. The Specialist Package does not earn airstrikes or air support when you start racking the kills. Instead, you earn more perks. Starting with the regular 3 perks, as you keep killing, you start stacking more perks to keep you going. When you die though, you start from scratch again.
They also revealed their new game mode called Kill Confirm. Kill Confirm is a Team Deathmatch with a twist. When you kill an opponent, a dog tag drops on top of their body, you'll have to pick it up in order to count it as an actual kill. Now if you see an ally's dog tag lying around, you can deny that kill by picking it up.
Call of Duty XP is currently on Livestream, so if your interested in watching the rest of the show go check it out. Been watching it for a bit and so far this is what I've learned watching it at 3am. They revealed another trailer showing more footage of multiplayer, will update the post when they release the video.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be out on November 8 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
