Gotham City Imposters now Free-To-Play on Steam
Well this is a surprise. As I was looking through Steam today, I noticed something. Gotham City Imposters' PC has now gone Free-To-Play. Pretty late for the party since this was actually released at the end of Aug.
If you're what happens when Batman is not around protecting Gotham, apparently this happens. For those who don't know, Gotham City Imposters is a multiplayer-only FPS game that lets you play as either a wannabe Batman protecting Gotham, or a wannabe Joker terrorizing the city.
Sadly the console version still require you to pay up in order to play.
This release felt like a secret. Not only is it not in the featured section of Steam's Free-To-Play, there was no heads from Monolith Productions or even Warner Bros that they were planning to go free on the PC version. The trailer above was actually released on the day the Free-To-Play model hit Steam. In the end, a free game is always a good thing.
Head over to Steam right now if you feel the urge to be a Batman imposter.
Call of Juarez: The Gunslinger announced
The next entry to the Call of Juarez series is Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, a downloadable title for PSN, Xbox Live, and PC. Together with the announcement, Ubisoft released a live-action announcement trailer.
No game footage whatsoever from this trailer, but we do know that the game puts players in the shoes of a bounty hunter tracking down famous outlaws like Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and more. The game will also feature the ability to slow down time in order to aim your shots at the same time dodge incoming bullets.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is being developed over at Techland(Dead Island) and is aiming for a 2013 release.

Extended version of The Last of Us E3 demo
Today Sony released an extended version of The Last of Us demo that debuted during E3 last June. This playthrough of the demo was dealt differently together with around 8 minutes of new footage. Have a look below.
Seems like a fairly new build of the game with more objects to interact leaving you with a lot of choices on how you want to deal with the looters in the world. Not much Ellie assistance during the fights this time, but still impressed with how this game is shaping up.
Naughty Dog is aiming to release The Last of Us sometime between the first and second quarter of 2013.
Resident Evil 6 demo coming on September 18
If you're anxiously waiting for the release of Resident Evil 6, hopefully this bit of news will help the wait, or maybe make it worse. A demo of Resident Evil 6 will be released to the pubic on September 18 through PSN and Xbox 360. This won't be the same content released for Dragon's Dogma owners though. You will have new stages for Leon, Chris, and Jake, plus you can try the game's online co-op.
In a report from Gematsu, Capcom has confirmed that this demo will be coming for US and Europe:
Capcom is pleased to confirm that from September 18, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will be able to download a new Resident Evil 6 demo from Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Store. The new demo features completely different content to that contained in the previously released Resident Evil 6 demo exclusive to owners of the Xbox 360 version of Dragon’s Dogma.
Players will be able to dive into content from Resident Evil 6’s three main campaigns, either solo or partnering up via online co-op, and experience firsthand why it is one of this year’s most hotly anticipated titles.
Play as either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper and further explore the dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University, swarming with the victims of the latest bioterrorist attack.
The action in Jake’s mission switches to the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the J’avo, including their fully mutated forms. Be sure to check out Jake’s special hand-to- hand combat moves and Sherry’s stun baton as you struggle to stay alive.
Showcasing Resident Evil 6’s global setting, Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans head with fellow BSAA team members to the war-ravaged streets of Edonia. The amassed J’avo forces provide a stiff enough challenge, but that’s before the 3-story high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the party. Select Piers for a slightly different weapons loadout than Chris including a sniper rifle with thermal scope.
In addition, for those owners of the PlayStation 3 version of Dragon’s Dogma, the exclusive demo previously only available for Xbox 360 owners will be available from September 5 to download via token redemption on the PlayStation Store.
Capcom also confirmed that owners of the Playstation 3 version of Dragon's Dogma can now claim your code and test out the demo that was already released in Xbox 360. I've tested my code and yes, you can now start downloading the demo.
For the rest of the world, you'll have to wait two weeks to try out the new demo.
Resident Evil 6 will be out on October 2, 2012 on Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. The PC version will be released in a later date.
God of War: Ascension Furies trailer
Before the Gods, before the Titans, there were the Furies. These three deities are the antagonist in Ascension. The story takes place after Kratos sells his soul to Ares. To break the bond with the God of War, Kratos will have to defeat the Furies that hold the contract.
Hopefully the fight against the furies is as intense as the fight with the gods during God of War 3. With what was revealed in this video, the furies seems like regular enemies that Kratos slaughters for fun. It's a prequel yes, but I guess I'm hoping for Santa Monica to top their work in God of War 3, or at least bring the same quality in the fights.
The game is also set 6 months after Kratos murdered his wife and kid, so it will be interesting to see Kratos slowly becoming less human, and more of the Kratos we all know.
God of War: Ascension is scheduled to be released on March 12, 2013 on Playstation 3.
