New Far Cry 3 trailer introduces us to yet another insane bad buy

Far Cry 3 Another Far Cry 3 trailer, another crazy that needs to be formally introduced. Meet Hoyt Volker, he runs both slave and drug trafficking operations while maintaining a portion of the island with a mercenary army. Just when you thought Vaas was bad enough, you have another insane mastermind calling the shots.

With Hoyt Volker now introduced, it's hard to tell which character is the big anti protagonist, Vaas or Hoyt?

Need to get introduced to other characters in Far Cry 3? Check out the trailers for Vaas, Buck, Citra, and Dennis. Oh and Dr. Earnhardt. Yes, that's quite a lot of character trailers.

Far Cry 3 will be available on December 4 in the US, November 30 for the UK, and November 29 for Europe.

Dark Souls Artorias of the Abyss DLC now out on PSN and Xbox Live

Dark Souls DLC Plan on jumping back to Dark Souls again? Well, From Software just released the Artorias of the Abyss DLC for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The DLC is the new content included in the Prepare to Die Edition for the PC. It includes new areas, bosses, armors, spells, and matchmaking for PVP.

I never thought I'd get excited for a DLC. I think the last time was Red Dead Redemption's 'Undead Nightmare' DLC that provided a whole new single player campaign. It will definitely be hard to get used to Dark Souls again, since the game isn't easy to begin with, but I've always wanted to jump back in and grab the platinum trophy. Now that Artorias of the Abyss is out, there's a bigger incentive for me to grab my copy off the shelf.

It will cost you $14.99/1200 MS points. Now this is real DLC, no armor pack dlc stuff that is just a waste.

Check out the link for a complete list of the added content.

Never played the game? Check out my review of Dark Souls, you will either appreciate the challenge it brings, or get frustrated from the constant deaths.

Assassin's Creed 3 PS3 exclusive content detailed

Assassin's Creed 3Assassin's Creed 3 comes out next week, and for the players getting the PS3 version of the game, Ubisoft is showing some love by giving an exclusive four-mission arc that focuses on exposing Benedict Arnold's plans to overthrow West Point.

The details were released at Playstation's Official blog. They interviewed Assassin Creed III scriptwriter Matt Turner to get an idea of the history used for this exclusive content. Check it out here. The exclusive content will not be found in the disc so you will need to download the content at the PSN store using the voucher code found inside your copy.

This exclusive content seems to be the added 60 minutes of content announced by Ubisoft (and seen on the boxart). Will you buy the PS3 version just for those extra 60 minutes? Or extra content doesn't really matter?

Launch trailer

Assassin's Creed 3 comes out next Tuesday, October 30, on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Bioshock: Infinite 'Beast of America' trailer

Bioshock Infinite Since the announcement of Bioshock: Infinite's delay, Irrational Games have been completely silent, not attending events, no new footage, just focusing on development I assume. Well they just broke that silence by releasing a new trailer called 'Beast of America'.

Bioshock: Infinite did miss this year's E3, but not last year. Just in case you missed it, check out the 15-minute demo shown at last years E3.

Explore Columbia and save Elizabeth next year on February 26, 2013 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

13 minute gameplay walkthrough video of Far Cry 3's open world

Far Cry 3 will be an open world FPS game, similar to Far Cry 2. Sound awesome right? Well it depends. Far Cry 2's open world felt like a chore to move forward when I played it back in 2008. The feel to explore wasn't there for me, so this was my main concern when I started learning about Far Cry 3, did they improve in that aspect of the game? Check out this video that gives us a good look at Far Cry 3's open world gameplay.

The commentators of this video are Mark Thompson, lead level designer and Jamie Keen, Lead game designer of Far Cry 3.

It's good to see that there will be different kinds of side quests to pick up to give you more incentive to explore. Adding wildlife is also a great new addition, which seems to go well with the game's crafting system. I'm pretty impressed with the game's setting and revealed characters so far, especially Vaas, but my Far Cry 2 playthrough keeps reminding me that I might experience the same issues I had with the game's exploration. So yes, I'm still pretty cautious about this one.

Far Cry 3 comes out on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 29 for Austrailia and in the UK, the US will get the game a few days after on November 4.
