Panasonic Jungle Gets Cancelled
For anyone who read our posts back when we were in blogspot maybe you caught one of my earlier posts. It was about the Panasonic Jungle which was supposed to address the "MMO on the go market" which I still think isn't large enough (or if there even is one) for a device dedicated to only that to exist.
To be honest, when I first heard about the Jungle, I thought it was already a bogus idea and reading more into it didn't help. This comment from Panasonic just proved my point; "Panasonic decided to suspend further development due to changes in the market and in our own strategic direction,”. They enforced their decision by stating that there are "changes in the market" and "changes in our own strategic direction" which basically means "no one wanted it", "that's bullshit" or "you're crazy, it looks stupid".
I'm actually kind of bummed that it isn't going to be released, I would've loved to see it join the epic failures in video gaming along side the Gizmondo and the Virtual Boy. At least then it would have been a part of video game history.
New Battlefield 3 Gameplay Trailer
This is a longer version of the previously released trailers.
A small group of soldiers land in a wrecked city. You hear them having some light conversation, a short mission briefing and watch em run through the streets. Then the action begins.
I gotta say, from this small piece of footage, the graphics look intense. Movement and the use of motion blur looks really clean. The iron sights look pretty good and so does the combat. But how it plays will be a different story, we'll just have to wait. HUD is kept to a minimum, sporting a sort of digital feel which I have no problems with.
Hopefully more footage will be coming soon, Battlefield 3 is scheduled to hit shelves Fall of this year.

Ninja Gaiden 3 teaser trailer released

Ninja Gaiden 3(tentative title) suprised people at GDC '11 showing a teaser trailer. First announced at the Tokyo Game Show '10, they revealed a bloody Ryu Hayabusa image(shown below). No other information yet about the game yet but all will be unmasked on this year's E3.

I can't put into words what I want to say about this game after watching the trailer. The only thing I can muster up is "This is all kinds of wrong" and with a PEGI 12+ rating all the more so. If you want to understand where I am coming from with this then watch the trailer for yourself.

3DS "Hacked"

Ok, so the 3DS just got released in Japan on 2/25/2011 and after a day its already been hacked. I won't count it as a real hack since it uses a R4 card which is used to play NDS roms but still, it shows that Nintendo's latest attempts to tackle piracy has been bypassed on the DS side.
As for the actual 3DS software, only time will tell if Nintendo's fight against piracy will prevail. Probably not.
