Local Gaming Scene - SSF4: Arcade Edition hits the Philippines
If you guys haven't noticed, we, the people in TMG, all live in the Philippines. So every now and then we will be posting some local news and events about whats new in the gaming scene. Local gaming here that's worth a read is rare, well to me at least and I just found the perfect news to start this off.
Street Fighter Fans in the Philippines rejoice! You can now flood the arcades again since Arcade Edition has finally arrived in Metro Manila. Players have reported Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition machines in SM Megamall and Glorietta 4. SM Megamall apparently is the best having 4 cans linked separately while in Glorietta 4 they currently have only 2 cabs linked together.So Megamall is your best bet for more game time against players. Both are set with three rounds and a time limit of 99. A few other have been reported having Arcade Edition but has not been confirmed yet.
Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition was released last December and it took four months to hit the Philippines... its sad? very. But it doesn't matter now, what matters is we can all see first hand how the new and old characters feel. Players over here are crazy good and I can't wait to get my ass kicked by Yun players.

Here is the 2nd episode of Battlefield 3 Fault Line series Gameplay Trailer. As DICE demonstrates the destructive power of the new Frostbite 2 engine, the clip shows the squad moves to the rooftop to take out a sniper armed with a .50 caliber.

Mortal Kombat and Rock Band. Two very awesome games but two very different games. Who knew seeing a mash up of both would look so awesome and so hilarious at the same time. Sub-Zero looks to be shredding on lead while Reptile busts out some sweet vocals. Scorpion is rockin' on the drums and Smoke is chillin on bass.
Who knows? Maybe this is the future of the battle between Earth realm and the Nether realm. The fate of the world rests on your highscore! FIGHT!

[UPDATE:Prey 2 debut trailer]Prey 2 is in development..
Cover of French magazine Joystick hit the web and revealed something.....unexpected. A sequel to the portal-like FPS game Prey is in the works and bethesda made the official announcement.
Bethesda sure is one busy company and i didn't think a Prey sequel would come to light.The company recently acquired the Prey franchise from 2k games in 2009 and is aiming for a 2012 release on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Development of Prey 2 is still being handled by the original team, Human Head Studios, and is using the id tech engine. id tech 4 might be the engine for Prey 2 sine They apparently have been in development for quite some time now so the use of the latest id tech 5 engine(the game engine powering rage) was never an option.
No other information about the game but at least Prey fans now have something to look forward to.
[UPDATE]: HumanHead Studio's just released a debut trailer of Prey 2. It's a live-action trailer and has no gameplay footage. Not too thrilled by the trailer but enjoy.
