Thor: God of Thunder (Wii)
"Here I stand with Wiimote in hand. I am THOR! *crackle*"
To be perfectly honest, the Wii version of Thor: God of Thunder looks better than the PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts. The Wii trailer makes Thor look powerful, which he should be. The Next Gen trailers are less than stellar to say the least. I also heard that there won't be a lot of flailing involved in the Wii version but I'm sure they'll sink in a motion gimmick or two.
I've heard good things about the DS version too. I'll also be looking more into that version as well.
Of course it all comes down to gameplay in the end but this is a movie tie in game that I can say I'm looking forward to.

Want Streets of Rage for free?
The people over at www.bombergames.net have been working on a Streets of Rage remake for over 8 years. Started on March 17, 2003, the game is finally out.
The remake features a whopping 103 stages, all the characters from Streets of Rage 1-3 have received new moves with remastered sprites. Some new characters have also been added. Enemy sprites also received the remaster make over as well as RGP color corrections for the SoR 2 and 3 goons.
A lot of extra content have also been included such as cheats, editors, customizable options and a volleyball mode. SEGA is aware of the project's existence and hopefully they won't make a fuss about it. After all it did take them 8 years to complete.
The game is available for free on their site and if you're feeling generous, donate to them via Paypal for all their hard work.
The Oregon Trail
Up until yesterday, I have never heard of this game before. After looking around youtube, I found some videos giving info and showing off the actual gameplay of it. Now the game looks very primitive by today's standards but I was intrigued at how complex the game can get. The graphics don't bother me since I have played far more simpler looking games back in the day. Aside from teaching kids about 19th century pioneer life on the Oregon Trail, the game also teaches you how to manage what limited resources you have at your disposal. I wish we had this for Math class back when I was in grade school.
From Wikipedia
The Oregon Trail is a computer game originally developed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, and Paul Dillenberger in 1971 and produced by MECC in 1974. The original game was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the Oregon Trail. The player assumes the role of a wagon leader guiding his party of settlers from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon's Willamette Valley over the Oregon Trail via a Conestoga wagon in 1848.

Battlefield Play4Free now on Open Beta
EA's Battlefield Play4Free just hit beta and anybody can join the fray. All you got to do is sign up an EA account, download the client and you should be all set. Think Battlefield Play4Free a more serious version of Battlefield Heroes.
Just like any battlefield game there are four classes to pick from; Assault, Recon, Medic, Engineer and start with the default equipment. As you level up you have access to more but if you want to have access to better equipment you'll have to pay up.
Not sure why EA decided on releasing another free Battlefield game. We already have Battlefield Heroes, why overshadow the old one? My guess is, their hyping up Battlefield 3 with this.
It's on Open Beta so the game isn't final. Changes will be made and extra content will be implemented in the future.

Spider-man Edge of Time Teaser Trailer
The teaser trailer to Activision's next Spider-Man game was released yesterday and compared to Shattered Dimensions, it looks like nothing changed in terms of gameplay. Also included are new screenshots in great detail.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ixah-GhapI]
I wasn't really impressed with the trailer and I'm also suprised with another Spider-man game that also includes time travel and other Spider-man's from different timelines meeting. In this case, Shattered Dimensions had four different Spider-man's in different timelines but Edge of time will be focusing on only Amazing Spider-man and Spider-man 2099.
Spider-man: Edge of Time is slated for a fall 2011 release on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
What do you think of the trailer? and did you even enjoy the last Spider-man game?
