All Witcher 2 Downloadable Content will be free

Witcher 2 is coming tomorrow, so to start things off and give a little incentive to buy this PC-only  RPG, developer CD Projekt RED  has announced that all up-coming DLC's will be free of charge.

"Let [us] announce that all our DLCs will be FREE," they write. "All of them. If anything will be for purchase, those will be expansion packs. First DLC (side-quest called "Troll Trouble") [launches] together with the game release."

Witcher 2 is said to clock over at least a minimum of 40 hours of gameplay. When i say minimum, i mean the main storyline will take that long to finish, so if you add all the extra side quests and other things you can do in the Witcher world, where looking at maybe 70+ hours? this is indeed a meaty RPG and I'm sure all RPG fans are anxiously waiting for the game's release. We need more hardcore PC RPG's just like the old days and I hope more will come in the future.

There's a possibility in the future that the game will be released also on PS3 and Xbox 360 but for now it's considered a PC exclusive.

Just in case you don't know the Witcher 2, here's a few videos to get yourself familiar with the game.

Weekend, what are you playing?

We are half way though May, new game releases are afoot but I'm sure most of you have a game or two to beat. So what are you playing?

Migoy: My Duodecim save got corrupted. My cousins were playing multiplayer and one of em had my PSP, the battery died right after a fight (where the game auto saves) so fuck it, gonna fully import my old Dissidia game keeping my old characters at maxed out at level 100. Aside from Dissidia Duodecim despair I feel a strong urge to play Final Fantasy Tactics (PSP) from square one. Also I've got an eye on another SquareEnix Game, Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection. Lotsa RPGs on my list. Gonna be a long day.

Quash: This weekend is still Mass Effect 2 for me. Working on my save file in my PS3 so that I can use that save for Mass Effect 3. In the main story I'm suppose to get the IFF but I'm focusing on all possible loyalty missions at this point and side quests before continuing. My goal is no one dead on the Suicide Mission, Max Paragon and mostly all important side quests done.  Oh! i also played some Diablo 2 co-op with a friend last friday. Currently on Act 2 with a level 18 Sorceress. This has to be my 4th Sorceress in that game, favorite class? yep. I've already decided to be a Wizard for Diablo 3.

Arlie: I've been exploring the Province of Cyrodiil this weekend. Yes, I'm playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PC using my Female Nord Knight named "Arya Stark" (from Game of Thrones). I already finished the faction quests for the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild, Knights of the Nine and I am already halfway on the Dark Brotherhood quests (I already have my loyal steed, Shadowmere). As some of you might know, I've been streaming my TES IV: Oblivion gaming session live on our JTV channel. You can watch my previous game sessions archived there so please feel free to visit anytime, you might catch me or anyone of us play live and chat with us while we do fucked up shit like the video shown below.

I also played Brink, but I haven't tried multiplayer yet and the AI is just plain suck (could literally go around an AI enemy, clueless mofos). I already finished the Resistance campaign and already started with Security campaign. Overall, I like the game (it reminded me of Team Fortress 2) with better gameplay (PARKOUR BABYYYY!) and I might enjoy playing it online. You can also watch my Brink gaming sessions on our JTV channel.

FAQ for Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition in Console

SSF4: Arcade Edition is hitting consoles on June and I'm sure everybody has questions. What happens to my BB or PP online? can i fight people with the new DLC? can I fight the new characters even if I don't have the DLC? well here's a FAQ I found to give you all the info you need about Arcade Edition in Console.

It's a great FAQ and pretty much all your answers about the DLC if you had any. The people at Capcom-Unity did a good job at bringing this info together just in case there will be confusion when the DLC hits on June 7.

Just in case you missed the link above, here's one more link to the FAQ.

PSN Restoration has begun

Sony has just announced that restoration of the Playstation Network has begun, they have released a system update for us to download which pretty much allows you to change your password. This is the first phase and they will be going country by country beginning with the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. Sadly, japan and the rest of asia is not included in the first phase of restoration and will be announced soon.

Whats the first phase in restoration? the first phase includes:

  • Sign-in for PlayStation®Network and Qriocity services, including the resetting of passwords
  • Restoration of online game-play across PS3 and PSP
  • Playback rental video content, if within rental period, of PlayStation Network Video Delivery Service on PS3, PSP and MediaGo
  • Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity, for current subscribers, on PS3 and PC
  • Access to 3rd party services such as Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and MLB.tv
  •  'Friends' category on PS3, including Friends List, Chat Functionality, Trophy Comparison, etc
  • PlayStation Home"

The PSN restoration was first announced on their PlaystationBlog and Kazuo Hirai has given a video announcement about the restoration.

They will be announcing what will be inside their Welcome Back package in a few days. Take note though, they mention that it will be different for each region. With the number of days it took Sony to get things working again, i don't think their welcome back package will be enough but it's better than nothing i guess.

It's slowly coming back so people who hasn't thrown their PS3 out the window, start downloading the new system update now. I have the system update installed but so far it still says it's under maintenance. I guess the first phase is still underway so we'll have to wait just a little bit longer to get some online action. Will update this post for any new development.

Has any of you accessed PSN after the system update?
