Diablo 3 to ship early next year
Diablo 3 closed beta is underway and a lot we're expecting a 2011 release. Sadly, Blizzard announced that Diablo 3 will come out Q1 2012.
"With every game we make, the temptation is always very strong to launch as soon as possible," says Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder.
"However, we didn't put so many years of work into Diablo 3 to release a game that was almost ready.
"The beta test is going very well, and we look forward to making the most of the extra time we're taking to deliver an experience that lives up to our vision for the game and the expectations of our players. Next year is going to be an incredibly busy one for Blizzard, and we hope an incredibly fun one for Blizzard gamers."
Beta testing has started on September 20, and with the added time, they will extending the beta and adding more testers. If your feeling lucky and want in on the Diablo 3 closed beta, head over to your Battlenet account now and opt to participate.
As much as I want Diablo 3, I can wait until next year. No rush. There are still a lot of amazing games that are set to come out this year so at least I can focus on those first. But Blizzard should give us a date already, seriously.
Burnout Crash for Kinect David Hasselhoff Trailer
Burnout Crash is out and even though the game still doesn't sit well with my gut, I've seen a few positive reviews about it. But I'm not going to talk about those reviews. I'm here to show off the Kinect functionality that Crash has and it has the Hoffster in it.
Very little actual Kinect functionality was shown in the trailer (if those were even real control gestures at all) but it has David Hasselhoff in it and he wears a chicken suit. That's all you really need.
PS3 players will get Battlefield 3 DLC first, Open Beta also announced
While Xbox 360 players get first access to Call of Duty DLC, Battlefield 3 DLC will be released in the PS3 a week earlier before the Xbox 360. A week isn't so bad compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC getting released on the Xbox 360 a month earlier.
Tommy Rydling, junior product manager for Battlefield 3 announced it on the official Playstation Blog. Whats the first DLC? it's called Back to Karkand and is said to be released sometime this year. The DLC will provide 4 famous maps from Battlefield 2. I was expecting this to happen for the PS3 since Xbox 360 is already all over the Call of Duty franchise, but this 1 week early access is honestly nothing to the 1 month early access in the Xbox 360 for Black Ops. With Modern Warefare 3, I Wouldn't be surprised if they continue releasing DLCs to 360 players a month earlier. This isn't the only news from the post, they also announced that the open beta of Battlefield 3 will be out on the PSN for download. The Open Beta starts on September 29th to October 10th.
If you actually purchased the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor then you can get into the Open Beta a week earlier. So owners of the Limited Edition can test Battlefield 3 on September 27, 2 days earlier.
There will only be one map I believe for the Open Beta, and that will be Operation Metro, the map they always use to show off the multiplayer part of Battlefield 3.
Battlefield 3 will be out on October 25 in NA, 27 for Australia, and 28 for Europe. With Datablitz having pre-orders for Battlefield 3, the game release for the Philippines will be Oct 25.

Mega LOL to early Dark Souls players
So Dark Souls just came out in Japan today but some gamers have gotten early access to the game and started showing it off as soon as they got it. Those gamers got a little bit of a surprise.
Developers of Dark Souls, From Software, unleashed some max-level Black Phantom into the game so that these early players can confront them early and just outright annihilate them.
From this screenshot, the Phantoms are at level 145 with 1900 HP with every stat set to 99. Well played , From Software. Well played indeed.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance - TGS 2011 Trailer
Ok, I love the Kingdom Hearts games even though Square Enix has dragged it on this long but when they announced Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS I had no interest in playing this. But after seeing a certain character in this new trailer from this year's Tokyo Game Show, I squealed like a school girl.
Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You (すばらしきこのせかい Subarashiki Kono Sekai / It's a Wonderful World) makes an appearance in KH 3D. The World Ends With You was a DS game made by the Kingdom Hearts team back in 2008 and was a game that I was very fond of and enjoyed and seeing the main character from that game in this new Kingdom Hearts in full 3D got my hype meter maxed out. Yet another reason for me to save up for a 3DS.
