Rage easter eggs pay tribute to the classic id games

You know who created Rage right? they are the makers of the classic Doom series, Quake series, and the first ever First Person Shooter - Wolfenstein 3D. So to pay tribute to their classic games, they placed easter eggs for Rage players to find and enjoy. Wanna see?

It's pretty awesome and made me want to get a copy of those classic games to play again, or even buy Rage. Too busy dying in Dark Souls though.

Anybody going through Rage right now? it's said to be a great shooter in its own right and to be confused with games like Fallout or Borderlands. It's not Fallout, it's not Borderlands. They just have certain elements that bring out the confusion. It being in a post-apocalyptic setting, open world, and having an inventory system. I say, if you like the old FPS kind of games, then this might just work for you.

Steve Jobs passes away at age 56

Very sad news indeed. Apple founder, and former CEO passed away today at the age of 56. Steve jobs was an amazing innovator with amazing achievements and brilliance.  Rest in Peace Steve Jobs, you will definitely be missed by millions.

Steve Jobs' amazing work also touched the gaming industry in a big way. The many successful games created for his creations like the Mac, iphone, ipad, ipod made a mark in gaming history. Aside from gaming, his creations also affected other forms of entertainment with its brilliance. He was also CEO of Pixar Animations at one point that lead the company to produce amazing animated movies that we still adore and love.

He's a visionary, his impressive leadership is what brought Apple to where it is today. Other companies couldn't catch up to Apple thanks to him. Steve Jobs is a legend. He made his mark in the world and only time will tell how the future of the digital world will shape with him now gone. 'ASSIST ME!' - Strider Hiryu & Hawkeye: UMvC3

Got the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hype? Can't wait till November? Well it seems that Max and Dr. Doom got an early copy and are hard at work to show it off.

In this episode we see some of Strider Hiryu's and Hawkeye's moves. Max covers each of their special moves, assists and supers. Now I'm not sure if they got the full version of the game or just a copy of the demo for trade shows and events etc. I've sent Max a message asking about this and will update if I get a reply.

"Michael" - Long Live Play

Remember that Long Live Play Kevin Butler video thing? Long Live Play is PlayStation's current gimmick right now to get more gamers into the spirit of gaming (ie get more people to buy their stuff). PSN PLAY is a program that's going on in the PlayStation Store. Every game purchase that falls under the 'PLAY' category will give you special bonuses like a free piece of DLC and so on. Sony then teased that they would be revealing something come October 5th. It's not a major announcement or a new game. It was just a video but what a video it is.

Zelda Four Swords commercial with Robin Williams

Robin Williams and his daughter Zelda(yes, named after the princess) show up once again for another Zelda commercial but this time they compete with Zelda Four Swords.

Got to love Robin Williams for doing these commercials. Nintendo is currently celebrating Zelda's 25th anniversary, and they have a lot planned. One of them is Four Swords anniversary edition that just went free to download on the 3DS/DSi shop a few days ago. Grab it now! or later if you want since it will be free until next year February.
