TMG Podcast #6 - Screw Motion Controls!
October and November is video games galore. Quash, Kage, Tim talk about what we're most excited for in the next two months, and have a little chat about motion controls. Aside from that, the usual banter.
This time we talk about all those games coming out from October to November and mention what we're most excited for. We then shifted to how we hope that motion controls won't be the future of gaming, since we just love the laying on our couch with a controller setup. Tim also gives his impressions on Dragon Age 2's new DLC Mark of the Assassin, and he again mentions Torchlight 2. Quality isn't the best this time around because after recording we noticed horrible background sounds, so we we're forced to edit the file and lower it as much as possible.
Games mentioned:
- Uncharted 3 - Battlefield 3 - Elder Scrolls V - Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Impressions:
- Dragon Age: Mark of the Assassin - Motion Gaming in general

Bethesda just announced the required and minimum system requirements for the next Elder Scrolls. It looks like Skyrim won't be demanding as we thought. Check out the specs to see if your PC can take this epic open world.
Minumum Specs
- Windows 8/Vista/XP PC ( 32 or 64 bit ) - Processor: Dual Core 2.0Ghz or equivalent processor - 2 GB System RAM - 6GB free HDD Space - Direct X 9 compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM - DirectX compatible sound card - Internet access for Steam activation
Recommended Specs
- Windows 7/Vista/XP PC ( 32 or 64 bit ) - Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU - 4GB system RAM - 6GB free HDD space - DirectX 9 compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM ( Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher). - Direct compatible sound card - Internet access for Steam activation
The specs are pretty low if you ask me, which makes me think run down PC like mine just might run Skyrim. This is one of those games that should be played on PC, but if your PC still can't take it with these kind of requirements, there's always the console version. So which version are you planning to get?
Skyrim is out on November 11, 2011 for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

Grand Theft Auto V
Whoa whoa, hold the phone. GTA5? Apparently it's a real thing now. If you visit Rockstar's website right now, all you will see is a jpeg on a black background saying "Grand Theft Auto V" and a date for the release of the trailer which is 11.02.11. Not too far off.
Wow, who else just got instantly excited for this? Thanks to @estimater for the heads-up Source [PCGamer]
Lost Heroes (3DS Trailer)
To be honest I'm not a big fan of those old school dungeon crawling RPGs where you move block by block on a grid style map. Sure there are some exceptions like the first Persona but for the most part that's just not my cup of tea. Especially since most of those kinds of games have static enemies and you don't even see your characters.
This one, however, is a little different. Being the Gundam and Tokusatsu fanboy that I am, having an Ultraman x Kamen Rider x Gundam crossover while not even knowing about the gameplay got my geek meter maxed out. When I saw the gameplay I was still hooked cause the attack animation of the heroes (your characters) look gorgeous even if the enemies are just static 2D images. However that hyped up geek meter went down when I gave it a little bit of thought and came down to the realization that "this game will never get localized" and with me no being able to read Japanese won't help playing a Japanese RPG.
My shortlived geek hype was shattered in less than 5 minutes. Oh well, at least I got to see some awesome attacks in this trailer. Why couldn't this have been a fighting / action game instead?
Battlefield 3 - TV Commercial
Battlefield 3 is out tomorrow for us so let's hype up the release even more with another video that lets you guess which is live action or Battlefield 3 gameplay. It's pretty obvious, but a cool video nonetheless.
If we do get our copies here in the Philippines tom, then its a Battlefield 3 marathon for me until my thumbs bleed. You guys getting on day one?
