Resident Evil 6 officially announced by Capcom
Capcom has finally announced Resident Evil 6. Out of nowhere, the game developer raises the curtains on the game and shows a full length trailer at the same time revealing the game's release date. Resident Evil 6 is coming out on November 20, 2012 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version to be released in the future. Check the trailer after the bump.
Quite a surprise to see the first look of the game at the same time a release date of this year. In the game's official Twitter account, They mention that the game has been in production for two years.
Coop is said to make its return with of course the traditional single player format.
With Leon S. Kennedy making a return and is pit with yet another incident similar to Raccoon City, Chris Redfield also makes a return dealing with another outbreak in China. It's good to see that Capcom will be placing players on different locations with different protagonists compared to previous games. Chris and Leon are not the only playable characters it seems.
They also seem to adapt a cover system. Shown in the trailer, Chris runs for cover but gets caught by some claw showing its still not safe. Resident Evil 6 also seem to have a lot of variety of enemies to face this time around.
“Resident Evil 6 represents a giant stride forward in the evolution of the series,” said Capcom’s R&D and marketing head Katsuhiko Ichi.
“The development team, led by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, is working tirelessly to deliver the most impressive Resident Evil title ever both in terms of scope and production values. We are all genuinely excited by the title and cannot wait to share it with the world.”
Kobayashi added: “From the outset the team’s intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror. We are calling this fusion dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers.”
The game is looking good, and a bit fast paced. But it might just be the trailer fooling us. I personally didn't like how Resident Evil 5 turned out. Resident Evil 2 and 4 were the better games, so hopefully 6 comes out more as those games or something completely different that will shock us all.
What do you think? is this what we want for the next Resident Evil?

Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.0 Trailer
The man who brought you Super Mario Bros. Crossover is doing something that I was not expecting. Not that it's a bad thing, in fact it is something completely awesome. Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.o!
For those of you how don't know, Super Mario Bros. Crossover is a flash game, made by Jay Pavlina aka Exploring Rabbit, which is basically the original Super Mario Bros. with a twist. The twist is you have the option to choose from a variety of classic NES characters, from Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa, Samus from Metroid, Castlevania's Simon Belmont and even the Blue Bomber Mega Man. Most of which control like their original game but with tweaks and abilities to compensate for how different Super Mario Bros. plays.
Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.0 is basically the sequel of that. With more characters, different stages and, from what the trailer shows, different variations to the stages such as the classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. look to the 16-bit Super Mario World look and even the original GameBoy Super Mario Land look. This game looks to be even crazier than the last. I don't know of those scenery changes will be active in game or if it was just for dramatic effect in the trailer, I do hope it's the former. I just gotta say, Exploding Rabbit sure knows how to make a trailer.
You can play the first Super Mario Bros. Crossover here.
Thanks to TupaSheep for showing me the trailer.

Max Payne 3 Delayed
Can I say this is the first game delayed for 2012? No? correct me if I'm wrong in the comments. But yes, Max Payne has been pushed back from a March release to a May release.
The new release date is May 15, 2012 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, the PC version will be out on May 29.
We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our company, said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick of the delay
Why the delay? there's no exact answer to why they moved Max Payne 3 to May. One thing's for sure though, Max Payne has no competition during that month. In March, Max Payne 3 will be in the same month as games like Mass Effect 3, Dragon's Dogma, Street Fighter X tekken, and a couple more . In May, nothing else that I know are coming out on that month.

Street Fighter X Tekken: January character reveals
The roster just keeps on growing. Here's a new trailer showing off even more characters that will be included in this fighting game crossover. Some of the characters in this trailer were already teased and revealed but we get to see proper gameplay foootage for each of em.
So we got Rufus and Zangief as the first team to be featured. When Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6 came out, each fighting game had their own corpulent character added to their roster and now we'll get to see them face off to prove which of them is fatter~ I mean better.
Next up we have the schoolgirl rivals from Tekken, Lily and Asuka. Is it just me or does Asuka look a little sluttier than usual. Capcom, oh you.
After that we got Barlog and Vega (M. Bison and Balrog respectively for you Japanese Stree Fighter name purists out there). Similar to the case of Rufus and Bob for king of the fatties, the infamous dirty boxer from Street Fighter gets a chance to face off against the sly Steve Fox.
I'm sure all of you have been waiting for this. Paul and Law finally get revealed! No game with the Tekken name would be right without these two awesome goofballs in it.
Last but not least, the trailer features, my newest favorite Street Fighter character, Juri facing off against Xiaoyu.
I noticed with the character art that a dark version with glowing red eyes were behind each of the teams that were revealed, probably for the Pandora system that the game has. Also, notice during the Balrog/Vega segment that they were beating on Raven from Tekken? I wonder when he gets his own reveal.
The video ends with short gameplay footage of a version Street Fighter x Tekken being developed for the PlayStation Vita and had 2 unique characters named Toro and Kuro. Cats with Ryu style bandanas. I only recognize them from forum emoticons but don't really know where they originally came from. That's good fan service I guess. After that, we see silhouettes of two characters, one of which is obviously Pac-Man while a familiar 8-bit tune rings in the background.
