Sine Mora Official Trailer

sinamora If you're looking for a downloadable game similar to games like Gradius or Type- R, Sine Mora is the game for you. Metacritics show that this Xbox Live arcade game is doing well with the critics. Of course it will do well, when's was the last time you've seen a game like this? It's good to see that some game developers keep games like this alive.

It's a bit refreshing seeing side scroller shot em ups like these. I remember being so focus playing the Gradius games because those damn bullets are everywhere in the screen. That's why I might buy this game because that Insane Mode reminds me of the good old days. The game is already out on Xbox Live for 1,200 MS points. I've been considering on getting a new Live Arcade and It's a coin toss of either I Am Alive or Sine Mora now.

First look at Max Payne 3's muliplayer

Max Payne Rockstar just released the first video of a new video series that introduces Max Payne 3's multiplayer, and it look pretty damn good.  It talks about the multiplayer's core features - Gang Wars, Payne Killer, and integrating Max Payne's famous bullet time into multiplayer.

Gang Wars is said to be a battle between the faction in Max Payne 3. It's story driven with objectives changing depending on the outcome of each match.  While in Payne Killer, two lucky players get to play as Max Payne himself and his partner  Raul Passos in the game as they go against waves of enemy players Max Payne style.

What I found very interesting is that they were able to add bullet time into multiplayer. Bullet Time is Max Payne's signature move that gives him the option to slow down time to better pick off enemies and dodge bullets. For multiplayer, when someone activates Bullet Time, only players in his line of sight will be engaged in Bullet Time. It is said in the video that Bullet Time is one of the burst abilities available to players, meaning there will be other abilities to be revealed that would suit your play style.

It's looking pretty good, it's Rockstar after all. When I heard Red Dead Redemption will have an open world multiplayer, I didn't think it was possible but it actually works and turned out fun. Now they added multiplayer on Max Payne without leaving Bullet Time behind.

This is the first video if the video series that talks all about multiplayer, so look out for the next few videos in the future.

Gamers have interesting game choices this month. Max Payne 3 comes out on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 May 15 and PC on May 29.

Street Fighter IV and Asura's Wrath? [Update]

Street Fighter x Asura's Wrath Can this be? Are we going to get Asura as a DLC character for Super Street Fighter IV? Or is it the other way around?

Ok, I can't read Japanese so I have no idea what any of the stuff displayed said but with this video except for what appeared to be a release date for this "DLC" which said "2012/5/8".

I still don't fully understand what this video means. Is it really for Super Street Fighter IV? Or maybe it's a new game mode for Asura's Wrath? I mean the SF4 characters still look like SF4 characters while Asura still looks like Asura from his own game. Usually when Capcom puts characters in the SF4 realm, they give them a new make over to suit the SF4 art style.

This video has me both very confused and very excited at the same time. Though another thing still bothers me, why SF4 and not Street Fighter x Tekken? Given the nature of SFxT I think Asura's crazy moves would suit that game more.

[Update]

Apparently I guessed right, it was the other way around. That video above was clipped out of the end of the full DLC trailer for Asura's Wrath. DLC content for Asura's Wrath is going to be released in Japan through the course of two months starting yesterday (3/27/2012) until May (5/15/2012), the Street Fighter bit being the last DLC.

What threw me off was the fact that Asura still looked exactly like he did in his own game and that after Akuma shoryuken'd Asura, he didn't get knocked into the air.

Here's the full DLC trailer for Asura's Wrath in Japan for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
