Cyberpunk 2077 On PS4 And Xbox One Have Major Issues Right Now
CD Projekt RED’s highly anticipated open world RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, actually came out and while some are enjoying the game those playing the PS4 and Xbox One version paints a different picture as they experience a series of performance issues and bugs that’s hard to ignore.
Despite multiple delays and years of development, the PS4 and Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077 currently has the most issues being reported in social media with terrible frame rates, major pop-in, lower resolutions, environments not rendering fast enough, crashes, and more.
This is Cyberpunk 2077 - PS4 version 1.00. Resolution is literally below 720p and the game takes 20 seconds to load in textures. Inexcusable. Unfathomable. Unplayable. pic.twitter.com/AZ2OPTnkdL

Experience is different for many, be it crashes or silly boxy faces or cars disappearing. Not all reports claim that they have the day 1 patch installed, which is said to have fixed a series of issues and improved the game’s performance, but a lot of them reports they have the patch installed.
This is PS4 Slim footage with the day one patch. I wasn't expecting much, but... I'm crushed. #Cyberpunk2077 pic.twitter.com/mWY1f5DfIF

It’s a mixed bag in terms of what the public is experiencing as more reports come in through social media, and these reports come only hours after the game’s release.
Cyberpunk 2077’s framerates and resolution are also a mess on older consoles as the game is barely maintaining an FPS of 30. In a report by Eurogamer, they had a chat with Digital Foundry’s Tom Morgan and shared that his tests shows frame rates below 30 and running a resolution between 720p and 900p.
Cyberpunk 2077 is mainly developed for the previous generation of consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One. The game was announced back in 2012 and has been in development for years and while those running the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X are experiencing better performances, majority of the console community that was eagerly waiting for the game are playing it on the PS4 and Xbox One.
We are currently playing the PC version of the game and most of the time it’s been smooth, and is likely the best platform for Cyberpunk 2077. But we too are experiencing cars disappearing and weird pop ins. I was bald in my first two hours thanks to my fedora hat. Who knows how the game feels 40 hours in, but for the sake of comparing one with the other, we’ll be checking out the PS4 version which requires over 100 GB of space thanks to the day 1 patch.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
