Guilty Gear Strive Hit With A Second Delay, Now Releasing In June 2021
Bandai Namco and developer Arc System Works have announced that the highly anticipated fighting game, Guilty Gear Strive, is being pushed back to a June 11 release. It was previously planned to be release on April 9.
They will be taking the extra time to polish the game further as well as improve the online lobbies and server stabilities based on the feedback they received when they hosted an Open Beta Test last month.
This marks as Strive’s second delay as the fighting game was first delayed from releasing in 2020 to April 2021.
Players who opted to preorder the Deluxe and ultimate version of Guilty Gear Strive are given a 3-day early access to the full game before it officially launches . Due to the delay, those with early access will now play the game on June 8, 2021.
Early Access players may be given first dibs but with a few restrictions. will have only 13 out of the 15 characters playable, can only play the prologue of the game’s story mode, and cannot access any online modes as it will not be available during this period.
Guilty Gear Strive will be released on PC, PS4, and PS5.
Red Hook Studios brings two Darkest Dungeon II heroes, The Runaway and The Duelist, to the original game in a new DLC launching August 18.
