Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Announced For Switch

The Pokémon Company and developer ILCA have announced Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, 3D remakes of the 2006 Nintendo DS titles Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version for the Nintendo Switch. It’s set for a late 2021 release.

These remakes were announced during the recently concluded Pokémon Presents event which also announced a new game Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The reveal is in part of Pokémon’s 25th anniversary celebration.

The original story, the Pokémon residing in this version of the Sinnoh region, will remain intact just like in the 2006 original game. Your starter Pokémon also remain the same as you get to pick either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup and battle your way into beating all eight gyms and reaching the top.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl is set to release on the Nintendo Switch late in 2021.
