Weekend, what are you playing?

Some big games just came out this week and I'm sure most of you have at least one of the games I have in mind. So, what are you playing?
Arlie: Got a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the PS3 since day one. I created a Female Redguard, 12 hours in-game and already absorbed 4 Dragon Souls and learned 3 Shouts. I was farming for gold to buy a new house when I accidentally sold all of my lockpicks, didn't notice it until I was picking a locked chest and already overwritten the last save.
Quash: I Think half the world is playing Skyrim right about now. Got my copy for the Xbox 360 on release day and have been playing it ever since. After getting my first manly Dragon born shout, I've ignored the main quest for now and is currently doing all the side quests I can find in Whiterun. Funny thing is, I'm already 10+ hours in and still on the first town. I've raided bandit hidouts, cleared dungeons, bought a house, and watched my trusty horse give the final blow on my 3rd Dragon kill(Horses do damage apparently).
Man I miss playing an Elder Scrolls game.I laugh every time I see the map; can't believe how huge this game is. It's an awesome game, just go get it(better in PC), you won't regret it. Now I'll continue playing, there's still a lot of iron ores to be mined and flowers to be picked.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword reviews are in
Wii's biggest and only game is days away and the reviews started showing up in most sites. What the result?? yet another Zelda game worth playing it seems. Here's a round-up of all the reviews out now.
EDGE - 10/10
1UP - B+
G4 - 4/5
Gameinformer - 10/10
Gamepro - 4/5
IGN - 10/10
Joystiq - 4.5/5
Cheat Code Central - 5.0
GamesRadar - 9/10
Videogamer - 10/10
Wired - 10/10
Will update any more reviews, but so far the game is looking to be worth a buy as expected. Regardless of you required to swing your controller around your room, it seems like it brings minor issues to the table while playing. While watching some of the game reviews, it made me realize how amazing the game looks. It's definitely the best looking game you'll get out of the Wii. Last time a game looked this gorgeous was Mario Galaxy 2. With the Nintendo Wii's limitations in the graphics department, I'm surprised that up until now they we're able to squeeze out some amazing visuals.
Galactus unlockable in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be out on November 15th, with 12 new characters to master, better online features(doubt it), and more game modes. One of those modes is the ability to play as Galactus. Not an actual character unlock, just an entirely different mode to smack around Marvel and Capcom characters. Guess they're adding whatever mode to let every fan feel like it's worth buying the game again.
The game mode isn't there when you start-up the game, you'll have to farm 30,000 PP(Player Points) in order to play as the big baddie. There's a way around it though, if you still have you're save file for Marvel vs Capcom 3 it will be instantly unlocked. Great, For buying the first game a few months ago, we get the Galactus game mode unlocked right away, uh thanks?
Still not sure if I want this game on day one. I'm drowning with games at the moment and I feel just about set for 2011. We'll see if my curiosity get's the best of me on release. Fighting game fans though should not miss this. Lot's of new interesting characters and unusual ones too.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim inbound!
Some people consider this a special day it being 11-11-11. Some say you should make a wish, some say it's going to be a lucky day; but for us gamer's it's Skyrim day! Just got my 360 copy and around 2 hours in so can't really say much but so far so good. It cost me PHP 2,000 for the 360 version in Datablitz and I got the NTSC-J version. No US version yet here so thank god my 360 is an asian unit. Is it region locked? I hear the NTSC-J is, the US might work for PAL units but that needs to be confirmed.
In the reviews coming from the critics - they seems to give double thumbs up for the 5th Elder Scrolls. Some even gave a bold statement of considering Skyrim a better game than Morrowind, that's huge believe me. It's literally Skyrim day as my Xbox 360 and PS3 friends list are showing mostly all are playing Skyrim. It feels worth the wait so far, so I'll end this post real quick and get back to being the Dragon Born...
If Deus Ex was turned into a movie, it would be good
Think about it, wouldn't Deus Ex's world be perfect for a blockbuster movie? especially Deus Ex: Human Revolution's plot? Screw movies such as Resident Evil and Street Fighter, there are so many better concepts in the gaming industry and Deus Ex is one of them. Some think so too - I came across this live action trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution that made me think "yeah, I can see it working".
Kudos to the people who made this trailer! If you haven't played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I highly suggest it. I was worried about the story building up too much, but towards the end it concluded well.
