Final fantasy 7 officially being re-released, wait what?
Apparently Square Enix thinks it's a great idea to re-release Final Fantasy 7 in the PC with added online features. It's still the same game we love to play over and over, but with features we don't really need if you ask me. You have to see the trailer for this version of the game, the trailer sounds just as old as the game. It's hard to believe this trailer came out this week.
Added features include 36 achievements to collect, cloud save, and a character booster that lets you alter your characters and income to make things way easier for you.
Not a strong enough incentive to buy the game again. I love Final Fantasy 7 and bought a copy of the game twice already(one physical, one digital), so buying this won't happen at all.
This version of Final Fantasy 7 is still on its "Coming Soon" Stages but it won't take long for them to add... well stuff like achievements. When it gets released, you can buy a copy at the Square Enix store.

Resident Evil 6 demo out now on Xbox 360 for Dragon's Dogma owners
The demo for Resident Evil 6 is now out on Xbox Live since yesterday. If you bought a copy of Dragon's Dogma on the Xbox 360, you can start downloading the demo which contains one mission of each of the three campaigns in the game. Just in case you didn't buy Dragon's Dogma on the Xbox 360, I gathered all three demo's for our viewing pleasure.
Thanks IGN for creating the video with some commentary.I prefer trying the game myself, but this will have to do for now. I was originally planning to get Dragon's Dogma on my 360, but to my surprise, the 360 version was actually out of stock. So I bought the PS3 version instead. Enough of my rant, here are the videos below.
Chris Demo
Jake Demo
Leon Demo
Have no idea why IGN doesn't have Leon, so I found another source.
With Resident Evil 6 having three campaigns, the demo shows that each campaign has a different tone. Chris is more action oriented with him actually going against non-infected enemies, Leon is toned downed and looks to be the horror part of the game, going through zombies, dark corridors. Jake's campaign has this Nemesis-like gameplay which looks to have a different feel as well. It seems they divided the different types of gameplay seen in past Resident Evil games to satisfy old and few fans of the series.
What I don't get is Xbox 360 demo coming out months before the PS3 version. We are not talking about a week early too, the Playstation 3 version is set to be released around September 4, that's nearly a two month lead. It's definitely a marketing strategy coming from Capcom, but a two month gap is a bit over the top.
Resident Evil 6 is coming out on October 2, 2012, for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with a PC version to be released in the future.
Seth Killian joins Sony Santa Monica Studio
Seth Killian, former Capcom Community Manager, co-founder of the EVO fighting game tournament, and pretty much the big promoter for all of Capcom's fighting games has found a new home at Sony Santa Monica. After being with Capcom for 6 years, he has decided to move on and pursue a new dream. The fighting guru made a post on the official Playstation Blog revealing where he is now.
Seth is now working with the team currently developing Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale which fits for him and is excited for the Smash Bros- like fighting game.
Fighting games are very close to my heart, and as someone that’s spent much of my life with traditional fighters, All-Stars has been a great opportunity to take a step back and rethink fighting fundamentals from the ground up. The entire team was put together from scratch to create this game, and they are loaded with fighting game superstars (including some impressive tournament credentials–I’m not even the first EVO finalist to join the team!) who love great combat just as much as I do.
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale has instantly become a game to look out for with Seth Killian now on board. If there's one guy I want to in a fighting game project, it's this guy.

Aliens: Colonial Marines gets a Cinematic Trailer
Gearbox Software just release a new Cinematic Trailer that got me all excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Its short, but enough to give us an idea on what we'll be getting when the game comes out next year.
I really want this game to be good. It looks good, but it needs to bring the feeling of walking through a narrow corridor, freaked out and relying solely on your tracker. That's what I want to feel in the first minutes into the game. Gearbox Software created Borderlands so I have hope that this game will bring justice to the Aliens franchise. It was pushed way back to 2013 for more polishing, so they have no excuse if it comes out bad.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is a long way from release, it will hit shelves on February 12, 2013 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
