GamerBee from Taiwan, Poongko and Infiltration from Korea, Xiaohai from China, HumanBomb from Hong Kong/Australia, Dieminion and PR Balrog from USA, and of course Daigo representing Japan.
Biggest upset during the tournament has to be EG's Justin Wong and EVO 2011's Super Street Fighter 4 champion Fuudo not even making it to top 8 this year.
The Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 tournament will continue day three to see who takes the crown. EVO 2012 - so much hype!

Day 1 of the biggest fighting game tournament of the year has just ended and boy what a day it was. This is my first time watching a full day of an Evo stream and I do not regret the loss of sleep.
The games that ran for day 1 were Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, King of Fighters XIII, Soul Calibur V, and the latest Mortal Kombat game (MK9). I watched a bit of the KoFXIII and SCV streams but mostly viewed the SSF4AE stream. To be honest I was only really hyped up for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 which will be running on day 2 of EVO 2012 but to my surpise I ended up watching the whole of the SSF4AE pools all the way to the semifinal bracket. Who knew SSF4AE could be so hype? I am personally rooting for Dieminion to take 1st place in the grand finals on day 3.
I need to catch some Z's so that I can stay up to watch the UMvC3 pools and get some gaming done if I wake up a little early.
If you're interested in watching the live stream of EVO, you can view all 3 channels at the same time here http://evo2012.s3.amazonaws.com/live/index.html as well as the schedules for each of the pools and panels.
Man, so much hype on day 1. What more from day 2? IT'S MAHVEL BABY!
"Guess who's ready to watch the EVO2012 stream?"
The Walking Dead: Episode 3 due in August
The gap between Episode 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead is pretty big, so Telltale assuring fans that the next episode will be released earlier. Next up is episode 3 and it's schedule sometime in August.
The announcement of episode 3's release was posted in Telltale's blog site. Not only do we get assurance of when the next episode is set to be released, they also thanked fans of the series for patiently waiting for the released of the second episode.
First and foremost we want to thank everyone for their patience with regard to the launch of episode two of The Walking Dead. As you may know, it arrived later than anticipated and this has been a cause of frustration for everyone.
Our goal from day one has been to deliver your game episodes as quickly as possible, and where we can, simultaneously across all platforms and regions. We've been working closely with our phenomenally supportive partners to try to make this a reality. We will continue to work on this and furthermore, we will strive to improve our communication with you so that you know what’s happening. Please rest assured that we are doing all we can to get your game episodes to you as quickly as possible.
No exact date was given for The Walking Dead Episode 3: The Long Road Ahead but expect another ninja announcement mid August.

Marvel vs Capcom Origins
Looks like Capcom finally had a good idea. Since I got my copy of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the nostalgia bug bit me and made me want to revist some of the older Capcom VS. games that I played on the original PlayStation.
I did get a 2nd-hand PS1 earlier this year and me and my cousins did get to play Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. capcom 2 HD. We saw first-hand how the VS. series evolved into what it is today. However the PS1 versions of MSHvSF and MvC1 are not the best ports since the PS1's hardware couldn't handle the full 2v2 experience. Those versions didn not have a true tag system and your 2nd character would only be an assist.
Since I got MvC2 HD on the PS3, I've been longing for a PSN release for all the 2D VS. games starting with X-Men vs Street Fighter. Of course it would be the true arcade ports which enabled you to tag out with your 2nd character while the other heals their red health. Capcom did answer my prayers in a way because they will be releasing Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs Capcom in HD on both PSN and XBLA. Dubbed "Marvel vs Capcom Origins" the game will feature an HD makeover and, from the looks of it, similar features done in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition such as online play, sprites and screen settings, even those challenge counter things you see on the side at 0:56. It's set to come out in September this year (2012) and since SF3 and MvC2 went for $15, I'd say that MvC Origins will also run for the same price.. Unless Capcom will be Capcom (ie EVIL).
