Here's Our First Look At Magic: Legends' Gameplay
Magic: Legends, an MMO action RPG developed at Cryptic Studios, is based on the popular trading card game Magic: The Gathering and we finally get our first glimpse of some gameplay.
The gameplay footage was revealed as part of Game Informer’s January magazine cover story, which gives us a taste of what seems to be a diablo-esque type of combat system.
From all the chaos and destruction in the gameplay trailer you can tell it plays like your typical top down action RPG. but Magic: Legends actually has a deck building system where you need to build a deck of 12 that will consist of your spells, buffs, and summons. You will have 4 active cards at one time and using one will result in it being replaced by another card from your deck.
Magic: Legends was first revealed at The Game Awards 2019 with a cinematic trailer and Cryptic Studios stated that Legends is an MMO set in the Magic universe.
So far, that’s all we know about Magic: Legends. This is a free-to-play title that will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
Red Hook Studios brings two Darkest Dungeon II heroes, The Runaway and The Duelist, to the original game in a new DLC launching August 18.
