Monika Toys Mega Man 2 Air Man Resin Statue
Monika Toys is a collectible brand devoted to designing, developing and producing detailed high quality statues. First in their line of figures are 3 robots masters from the classic 8bit side-scroller, Mega Man 2. Those being Metal Man, Crash Man, and Air Man.
Only 600 pieces of each Robot Master statue currently exist in the world. The Air Man we're looking at is marked number 120/600. The figure itself is well made with a very smooth and clean finish on the entire piece. Paint apps are also on the A+ grade of smooth. Air Man may not look very detailed but it is very true to its original line art design. The few extra details it does have such as the vents on the back and the little light blue rivets are perfectly molded and colored.
The entire set has a solid heft to it, most of which comes from the included base. Deco'd to look like a futuristic metal panel and engraved on the front with details similar to Air Man's stage platforms from the game. It sports a clean finish and holds the figure well enough. The figure is secured mainly via a relatively strong magnet in the right foot and a metal peg that slots in the left foot more so for added stability.
The one swappable accessory included is a wind blasting effect part for the center fan. Both the stationary and effect pieces connect via magnets and are easy enough to switch out.
