PS5 DualSense Controller Finally Getting Two New Colors
Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially revealed two new colors for the PS5’s DualSense Controller - Midnight Black and Cosmic Red.
At the moment, these two new colors will be available starting June 11 in the US and Canada. There’s no word when these color variants will be on sale in Southeast Asia.
This announcement shows that Sony will retain the two-tone variant with black as the consistent color. Just like original DualSense controler, the main color is the dominant one as if it’s wrapped itself around the black sections of the controller. The black version of the PS5 controller has a different dominant black, making it distinguishable between the two shades.
It’s been more than 5 months since the PlayStation 5 was released and this marks the start of various color variants that will be available for the DualSense controller. If the PlayStation 4 is any indication, there will be a crazy amount from camo designs to limited edition version of the controller.
We have yet to see Sony release a different color variant for the PlayStation 5 unit itself, but it will likely be done through a limited edition package tied to a specific PS5 exclusive.
