EA and developer Criterion Games have announced the next entry in the Need for Speed franchise and it’s called Need for Speed Unbound, and it’s set to launch on December 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Origin). They also revealed that the game will feature over 140 cars.

Dead by Daylight is set to celebrate this year’s Halloween with Haunted by Daylight which starts on October 11 and ends on November 3. The Haunted by Daylight celebration features an in-game event, Halloween themed cosmetics, as well as a free-to-play weekend.

Blizzard announced that they are lifting the phone number requirement for a majority of their Overwatch 1 player base that are trying to play Overwatch 2, as some players are finding issues with entering their phone number, specifically those with prepaid plans in their respective region.

Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets is an in-game store that gives players the opportunity to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable to them for a limited time. CD Projekt Red gave us a glimpse of their future by announcing that the Polish company is working on five major projects – a new Cyberpunk 2077 game, three games set in the Witcher universe, and the fifth being an entirely new IP created by the studio.

Marvel Snap’s October 2022 season is called Symbiote Invasion and is now live in the beta. This is also the game’s first official season as the game is set to launch globally on October 18. The featured card added to the game this season is Miles Morales and with it comes a new Season Pass with the usual goodies.

Bethesda announced that they will be celebrating 25 years of Fallout this October with a series of events each week to celebrate the long-running RPG franchise.

Bandai Namco and Arc System Works announced that across-platform network beta test for their fighting game Guilty Gear: Strive is happening on October 14 to October 17 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. The beta client for the test will be available to all users, even those that still don’t own the game.

It looks like Sony is not done bringing more remakes/remasters to the PlayStation 5 as it was reported that a Horizon Zero Dawn remake/remaster and a multiplayer game of the series is currently in development.
